Do you know any innovator working to improve the lot of poor and vulnerable people? The Rockefeller Foundation wants you to nominate them as the Next Century Innovator. As a nominee, you can also win a ‘Youth Award’.
The Rockfeller Foundation is inviting the global community to nominate innovators whose work is improving the lot of poor and vulnerable people. Three nominees will receive the Next Century Innovators Award, with one Award given based on your votes. Awardees may apply for a grant of up to $100,000 USD.
Competition Detail
Nominate a person (which may be yourself) or an organization (which may be an organization with which you are affiliated as a founder, director, or employee) applying a specific innovation in a new and different way to promote the well-being of humanity around the world.
Eligibility
The Rockefeller Foundation Next Century Innovators Awards is open only to
Nominees who are
- persons age 18 or older at the time of entry and
- public or private organizations (e.g. not-for-profit organizations, governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations, private businesses, academic institutions) (each, a “Nominee”) who are applying innovation in new and different ways to promote the well-being of humanity around the world.
Nominations will be accepted from
- individuals age 18 or older (“Nominator”); by submitting a nomination, you represent that you are age 18 or older.
- Nominees that proactively engage youth (people under the age of 18) in the process of innovation (i.e., are not simply youth-focused, but rather work to surface or promote innovation by young people) will be eligible for a “Youth Award” (see below).
Employees of Sponsor, Competition Administrators, vendors working with either in connection with the Competition, or any other individual or company involved in the development or execution of the Competition, and members of their immediate families (spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses or domestic partners, regardless of where the individual resides) and persons residing in the same households with the foregoing individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to be Nominees, but they may be Nominators.
Note: Subject to these Official Rules, three Awards are expected to be made, including one “Youth Award” for a nominee.
